Clare Jasmine Beloved is a full time artist and social entrepreneur and your juicy guide and teacher on this course. She has been facilitating this journey and many deep diving gorgeous community magic for over 30 years with over 20 thousand people guiding them through this process and other therapeutic journeys through her work with large scale grassroots projects and social enterprises.

People often choose to work with Clare because of her incredible track record, vast experience and a grounded irreverent and deep juicy approach to art and life that is hard to put into words unless you have experienced it. She is dedicated to creating programmes that are diverse, real and down to earth but magical and deeply rooted in community.

Clare was born in Liverpool and that Liverpudlian energy, hope and magic is very much in her bones. Clare’s beloved wife, Sandra died in august 2021 and she is on a deep magical journey with her grief. It’s incredibly precious that Sandra is on several of the videos and footage from this course showing how learning and working these techniques with Clare opened up her world as an artist .

Clare has been creating since she was a little girl and sells her own well-loved artwork internationally. She has also translated her work into a soulful and successful fine art clothes and sacred jewellery/ homeware range.

Clare’s groundbreaking creative work has been funded by Arts Council England and her large scale creative projects have been rolled out through Public Health, NHS and Primary Care Teams and schools, prisons and probation services. They have been highlighted as innovative and highly effective programmes for working with depression, anxiety, dementia, cancer support, LGBTQI and the trans community.

Clare developed and curated a large scale project based on her own way of creating with over 1000 women and girls which was exhibited at The Tate in a groundbreaking exhibition. This was then taken into many settings and also developed into Big Love Sista, Big Love My Brother, Big Love Little Sista.

FAQs

I am good at other creative things but just cannot paint, I have tried before and I don’t feel creative and I am scared about doing this .. what if I actually can’t paint?

Nearly everyone who comes on our course from directors at The Tate - to CEOs - to people who make there living being creative say this to us … the only people who don’t is when we work with children under 7 years old .. they have not forgotten that its a natural birthright to make colourful marks on a canvas, they have not layered themselves in expectation and ego and fear ….. nearly everyone who comes on this journey I can’t get them to leave the studio at the end of the session and have to tell them to bugger off as its closing time …we can do this …breathe deep and let yourself have this gift.

Sometimes people who have been to art college need a little more love on the course as they have often had all the juicy freedom studied out of them when it comes to being creative - we can give this extra love :) so if you haven’t studied art you are at a slight advantage.
