Creative Sensuality Workshops
CREATIVE SENSUALITY WORKSHOPS -
Exploring sensuality through the senses, creativity and nature.
29th August 4.30pm-6.30pm - at Sudley Walled Garden (Growing Sudley), Sudley Estate , Mossley Hill Road, Liverpool, L18 8BX.
A beautiful two hour workshop and introduction to Creative Sensuality. A gently, tenderly held space to explore what sensuality means for you. Open to all.
£25,
or by donation if you’re struggling financially.
This Spring I ran a beautiful 31 day immersion exploring sensuality in a tender safe way. It was so gorgeous and people asked for some in person gatherings.
I will be offering gorgeous evening workshops towards the end of August / early September, gorgeous experiences in the magical setting of the walled garden at Sudley, Mossley Hill. This workshop on the 29th August will be our first gathering.
This Could Be For You If…
• You feel curious about your sensuality but don’t want anything to do anything performative, exposing, or pressured.
• You want a safe, tender space to explore your sensual self.
• Life has been heavy - grief, illness, cancer, heartbreak, trauma, hard times and you feel disconnected from your body or your senses.
• You feel worn down by the grind of life and want to bring a bit more juice, pleasure and curiosity back into your days.
• You’re interested in exploring sensuality through creativity, music, food, movement, art and the senses.
• You want a space that acknowledges the realities people carry — trauma, racism, poverty, queerphobia, chronic illness, neurodiversity, grief — rather than pretending sensuality exists in a vacuum.
• You’ve worked with me before and loved it, and want to keep exploring together.
• You’ve never worked with me but have been meaning to, and something about this feels like a yummy place to begin.
• You like the idea of tiny daily invitations that take just a few minutes but can shift how you feel in your body and your life.
• Something in you feels curious… even if you can’t quite explain why.
Why do this work with me
• I have 30 years experience as a respected therapist, space holder, facilitator and community builder working with thousands of people.
• I’m offering this work because sensuality has always been my life force. I’m a deliciously sensory person. I experience the world through delight in touch, taste, scent, sound, colour.
• I have experienced deep grief after a long cancer journey and death of my wife and know how this can impact our identity and our experience of the world and also what a profound impact repairing our relationship with sensuality can be for grief and trauma.
• I know that for many people - connection with self gets numbed and lost over time. Not because there’s anything wrong with us, but because life happens. Grief, chronic illness, cancer, heartbreak, poverty, relationship and childhood abuse, discrimination, trauma, the sheer grind of surviving in the world impacts us.
• The messages we receive about whose bodies are desirable, how sensuality should look, whose pleasure matters and whose doesn’t are powerful and can cause us to shrink. Little by little, unless we hear different narratives - it begin to feel like sensuality is something that belongs to other people.
• I am not holding this space as an expert with a set of rigid beliefs or techniques to teach you. I am a fellow wobbly human who has skill in creating space for people to connect to themselves and create brave community with others. I know how to ask great questions and hold space for the answers to reveal themselves,
• My work over 30 years has been evaluated independently and received funding from NHS, Arts Council England and hundreds of community organisations. I’ve worked within severe and enduring mental health settings, with survivors of abuse, within dementia settings , with cancer patients, young people in care and in domestic violence.
• I am creating a space that is gentle, creative and trauma-aware, where people can explore sensuality in their own way. It isn’t a full on tantric retreat, it happens in your own time and space, you decide what’s right for you and you trust yourself to go at your pace. Nothing is exposing or performative. It is a slow, kind, juicy, powerful, tender invitation to help you reconnect with the juice of life.
• This work is for all bodies and all humans. All genders and sexualities are welcome. The space is queer led and we celebrate and feel privileged to be in community with our trans family.
• If the cost is stopping you attending please let us know and we can work out a payment plan that works for your budget. We give a small number of bursaries on each course.
So if you feels interested and curious - and/or you feel scared, wobbly or a bit lost in it all - you’re very welcome to enquire further or to sign up and come and explore with us.
There is access for wheelchairs please message us for further info. Not all parts of the garden are accessible but all workshop space will be.
Here’s what people say about working with me :-
“I always feel safe working with Clare and trust her implicitly. She has an incredible ability to show up as a human, with a huge capacity to hold huge stuff. I always feel fully safe to surrender to the experience, knowing it will be life changing. Her presence in my life has been consistently miraculous and loving. Just give Clare your money and watch the magic unfold, it will change your life.”
“Your deep wild belly laughter carries the lost dreams of us all ”
“Clare is a force of nature! Her down-to-earth style and deep wisdom is guaranteed to leave you transformed, empowered and opened up in ways you won’t have thought possible.”
“Expect to be guided so gently away from your safe paths and set patterns that you won’t know it’s happening until you arrive somewhere completely new within yourself! “
“I cannot recommend her workshops highly enough - just go”
