  • You have " women who run with the wolves" on your bookshelf getting dusty, you love the idea of it but have struggled to read it on your own and would love to explore it with others in a supportive juicy way

  • You have had enough of being "nice, compliant and too good" and are longing for a dose of irreverence with other like minded people

  • You adore fairytales and love the idea of being immersed in them on a healing journey

  • You have been longing to come to Clare’s wild book club in-person, but weekly classes in person aren’t possible so an on line option is a gorgeous alternative

  • You feel like life needs a wild shake up and you are hungry for some creative magic to help in the process

Clare trained with Dr. Estes, author of Women Who Run With The Wolves, at the Archetypal and Cross-Cultural Studies Institute in Colorado and will be offering some powerful insights from Dr Estes’ teaching for using this book as a therapeutic medicine. She will also be bringing in all my 26 years experience as therapist, artist and creative group facilitator to weave much deep diving and irreverence. Clare has been facilitating beautiful year-long Women Who Run with the Wolves courses in-person for 3 years and people have been asking can we open them up to people who can't get there in person.

Sarah Starrs will be bringing her experience of movement, meditation, and embodiment practices alongside her own brand of life and on line wizardry to support the programme with her reassuring smooth, sassy energy. As a mama, Sarah knows how difficult it can be to fit this kind of introspective work into our full, busy lives and will be offering practical tips and encouragement for finding space for this circle.

These magical stories are a way of travelling together on a healing journey - as we learn to lay down the stories of our lives next to these mythical adventures we will find doorways into new ways of being and new chapters of wildness and freedom. These deeply healing stories represent redemption, belonging, resurrection and renewal. Together we will huddle around the virtual fire and snuggle in to hear the stories anew and begin to see how this is a story of our lives too. We will journey beyond the symbolism to find our own myth and authentic stories and remember the songs we need to sing to bring us back to FULL WILD life again in all our instinctive gorgeousness ! We will play in a variety of methods from Clare and Sarah’s work, including ritual, meditation, movement, circle work, wild mark making, shrine making etc to connect to the lost bones of our own nature and bring them back to life with colour, words, music and community.

What is the time commitment each month?
We believe that if you set aside one hour each month to read the story and watch the video, that you will get a lot out of taking part in the circle.

But equally you could dive deep, spending time each day on journalling, interacting in the group, rereading the stories, and exploring the corresponding practices.

How much time you put into this is truly up to you. We understand that your time is precious and can feel like a scarce resource. We will aim for each monthly video to be around 30-minutes and everything else that we share will be bite-sized tidbits so that you can fit it around everything else you have going on. There is no minimum commitment needed to join.

What do I need to take part?
You’ll need :

  • a copy of Women Who Run With the Wolves,

  • Internet access

  • a Facebook account (optional but a lot of magic will happen here!)

  • a Journal and pen

  • space to create an altar each month (even a tiny box can be wonderful for creating a portable altar).

  • basic craft materials each month to create art exercises

  • optional materials for creative projects and embodiment practices will be listed each month and we will be sure to keep the cost of suggested materials minimal

Will the story circle continue after 6 months?

Maybe! This is our first time sharing this work online. If there is enough interest I am sure we can offer an additional 6 months.

What if I can’t afford to take part?

We have a limited number of partial bursaries available. If financial concerns are preventing you from taking place, get in touch.

We acknowledge that austerity has a great impact on peoples income and also our funding. We aren’t funded for this work so any bursaries given or discounts are subsidised from our personal income.

We don’t want anyone to not come because of financial hardship but we also ask that you don’t ask for discount unless you really cant afford to come not just because you’d rather use the money in other ways as this stops us offering the places to people in real need and distress.

Clare is a creative activist committed to her work reaching the most vulnerable people in communities. She offers a large proportion of her time to groups of local women and girls at risk at her own expense.

Have a question that’s not answered here? Send us an email and we’ll get back to you ASAP.
